Logistic Assessments

SDI’s Program Managers can provide detailed guidance to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of the adequacy of a program’s Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning, management, control, execution and resources.

Assessments independent of the system's developers help ensure an impartial evaluation of program status. The ILA process, although viewed and implemented differently by each service, provides the program manager, program logisticians, and ultimately, the warfighting commands and the Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) with a confidence in the Integrated Logsitics Support (ILS) planning and implementation. Assessments of logistics support programs prior to system fielding also help ensure timely awareness of potential deficiencies requiring attention and corrective action.

SDI’s approach uses the Web-based  Quick View methodology with linked assessment criteria and the online forms to complete each step and level of the assessment program.  This approach allows assessors the ability to carry the information necessary on tablets or laptops and submit reports online to the assessment committee thereby saving time and standardizing the assessment process.
