South Plainfield, NJ August 25, 2005 Systems Documentation, Inc. (SDI) announced plans to exhibit real-time collaboration tools for the Navy at the Southern Indiana Section ASNE Symposium - “Defense Transformation Through Collaboration.” SDI will be demonstrating applications currently deployed at NAVSEA Crane using the Instaknow Active Collaboration Engine (ACE) and SDI’s newest application, ExpertConnect, a rich collaboration suite designed to connect “Subject Matter Experts” with technicians supporting the “Warfighter.” The collaborative environment created with ExpertConnect enables these experts to work side-by-side with forward-deployed personnel without the need for costly, time-consuming travel. The Symposium, held at the Bloomington Convention Center (Bloomington, IN) from September 20th 22nd, is attended by nearly 400 professionals representing a cross-section of the armed services, academia, and private industry.
The ExpertConnect software runs on a Linux server and utilizes the World Wide Web to provide a collaborative virtual building so that anyone with Internet access is provided the opportunity to meet via his or her own individual desktop. Specifically designed for the provision of complicated technical assistance and for enabling collaboration between peers, ExpertConnect offers features yet unseen in web-based collaboration solutions.
Instaknow Inc. offers advanced technological features that allow businesses and government agencies to perform e-business collaboration to the fullest capability. Instaknow-ACE (Active Collaboration Engine) is a wizard driven ‘Application Builder’ and a wizard driven ‘Connectivity Suite’ that can bring together real time data and actions from many enterprises as well as web based systems in a custom flow.
All attendees of the symposium are encouraged to visit booth 20 and view a live demonstration of SDI’s latest solutions designed to aid in support of “Warfighter” readiness.
