Honors SDI

ARLINGTON, VA NOVEMBER 22, 2004: SDI was recognized today by the Department of Homeland Security Disaster Management eGov Initiative for providing outstanding leadership in emergency data interoperability. An award was presented to Barbara Clements, President SDI, by Gordon Fullerton, Executive Sponsor for the Disaster Management eGov Initiative for DHS at the 4th Global Homeland Security Conference & Expo held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. SDI, a member of the ComCARE Alliance, participated in a data interoperability exercise demonstrating the ability to exchange valuable incident information within the Emergency Management Community. Continuity Now!, SDI’s flagship solution in the market, demonstrated the first execution of the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) and Continuity Now!’s role as an intelligent message broker for Emergency Management.

Continuity Now! provides end-to-end integrated planning, monitoring, response and mitigation for Emergency Management. “We appreciate the recognition of Mr. Fullerton and the Department of Homeland Security for the effort SDI has expended in meeting the needs of this important community. And, stated SDI’s President, Barbara Clements, “Our efforts continue to be focused on creating a system of systems environment that will provide interoperability across jurisdictions, between agencies and allowing for public / private coordinate response.
