Full-time Sr. Software Developer - Indian Head, MD

The Senior Software Developer will integrate multiple systems for inputting, processing, interpreting, storing, and categorizing data. The design of the actual interfaces the Senior Software Developer will present information in a useful manner to store information to produce the overall solution for the customer. The level of information, needed by the different levels in the military structure, and the relevance of the information (information can become outdated in seconds) must be maintained.

Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
BA/BS Degree. Ten to fifteen years experience

Special Equipment/Skills:
XSLT, ASP.net, SQL, DOTNETNUKE, web design, html, JavaScript, CSS experience, C#, Microsoft Windows. Xml documentation a plus.

Security Clearance: Secret

Essential Position Functions:

DotNetNuke Administration
Perform the following tasks regularly in an environment that uses the DotNetNuke framework:

  • Research and evaluate 3rd party modules.
  • Install and configure various 3rd party modules to accomplish common website administrative tasks.
  • Troubleshoot users’ issues with accessing and/or using various parts of the site.
  • Be able to post new content, set/modify account privileges, and investigate down time with the host in a timely fashion.
  • Provide phone support to both customers and other employees to help them use the site.

 

DotNetNuke Web Development
Perform the following tasks as needed in a DotNetNuke environment:

  • Write custom DotNetNuke modules in VC#.NET/ASP .NET 2.0.
  • Modify 3rd party modules for which we have licensed the source.
  • Be able to tweak client side Javascript/CSS to adjust the site’s skin as necessary.
  • Support the Portal Administrator and Content Managers in their roles.

IETM Development, XSLTransform development

  • Oversee development of viewer software.
  • Manage SiberSafe Content Management System.
  • Assist Technical Writers with CMS and authors software.
  • Perform final packages of products and develop software needed for product integration.
  • Develop XSL transforms, cascading StyleSheets, and other software needed to support JCREW handbook publishing.
