ComCARE
ComCARE stands for Communications for Coordinated Assistance and Response to Emergencies. Their goal is to promote an integrated, coordinated approach to emergency communications and support the development of a comprehensive “end-to-end system” to link the public to emergency agencies, and to link those agencies together.

EIC
The Emergency Interoperability Consortium (EIC) was launched in October 2002 to address our nation’s lack of consistent technical interoperability and standards for emergency and incident management.

The Consortium’s primary objectives are to:

Create a national approach for data interoperability through an industry-government consortium
Promote the development of XML interoperability standards necessary to support the timely and accurate exchange of incident information throughout the Emergency Management community
Ensure every American has appropriate access to whatever information they require - when and how they need it

SOSSEC
SOSSEC is an acronym for the military and homeland defense System Of Systems SECurity Integration Initiative. Primary goals include preparation against asymmetric threats in Homeland Defense/Security, Military Force Protection and Stability/Security missions. Considerable emphasis is also given to promoting interoperability across organizational and geographic boundaries, for which SDI has developed the state-of-the-art solution, “Continuity Now!”. Continuity Now! is powered by a patented process/knowledge integration technology which enables a rapid, “no coding” deployment capability.
