SDI Single Source Training

SDI provides standard or customized training courses for single source authoring and Author-it: at your location, via the Web, or at an SDI office. Courses can include any of the following topics:

• Single Source Authoring. Theory and practice of single source authoring.
• Basic Authoring and Publishing with Author-it. Quick start for the key features of Author-it.
• Advanced Author-it. Advanced techniques for customizing the Author-it environment and publishing facilities. Includes customization of Word templates, HTML templates, Import/Export rules, Customizing Styles, and more.
• Project Management. Using Author-it Project Manager to manage documentation projects and tasks.
• Author-it Administration. Library and user administration, including security, variables, backup procedures, and other administration functions.
• Localization Management. Using Author-it Localization Manager to manage content for translation and localization.

SDI will work with you to provide training that fits your specific needs, including job aids and processes to help content developers make a smooth transition to single source authoring. SDI also conducts workshops and presentations.
