Author-it Live

Author-it Live provides a web-based editing environment for working with content in an Author-it library. The web editor is one of several server components that provide browser based editing; but browser access to your libraries is only part of the picture. The server components include the following:

• Author-it Live Editor provides a web-based editor that enables browser-based access to Author-it libraries. It enables users to access Author-it and create and edit content using Internet Explorer, without the need to install any client software. Author-it Live requires that the Author-it Integration Server is installed on a server with the web editor, and also requires the Author-it Publishing Server to support web-based publishing. Each Author-it Live user must have an Author-it Base User license.
• Author-it Publishing Server provides server based publishing via Author-it Live.

Together, these components provide global access to your Author-it content from diverse geographical locations. They also provide remote office support (from any place with Internet connectivity), support for contractors, and support for part-time contributors and other departments in your organization. There is no client software to install, which makes it easy to deploy throughout the organization.
