Author-it 5 Licensing Model

A new licensing model was introduced for Author-it 5. All users access the application using a Base User License, and all base licenses are floating licenses, so that you can support the number of simultaneous users for which your organization has licenses, without assigning a license to a specific user.

As needed, you can add extended licenses to provide additional capabilities for specific users:

• Project Manager users
• Offline Authoring users
• Localization Manager users
• MIF Import Filter users

Server licenses can be added to provide additional capabilities throughout your organization:

• SQL Database Connector
• Localization Manager locales
• Authoring Xtend (memory indexing server)
• Author-it Live (web editor)
• Publishing Server
• Integration Server
